Anthony is a licensed massage therapist with 25 years experience in the field of somatic education and bodywork. With an extensive background as a modern dance artist based in New York City, he has taught functional movement techniques in American universities and abroad in Ireland, Turkey, Switzerland and Japan.

Anthony specializes in deep tissue massage and the use of neuromuscular techniques to resolve chronic injury, movement limitations, and recurring pain. His work is informed by the study and practice of several modalities including Myofascial Release techniques, the Feldenkrais Method, and Zero Balancing.

He enjoys working with clients of all ages but particularly enjoys working with older clients. All of his sessions use treatment strategies for the individual client, their unique health history and their body in that particular moment. No session is the same.

Anthony finds that massage can greatly improve the quality of our lives as well as the relationships that we create. Taking time to allow our nervous system to calm with the guidance of skilled therapeutic touch is a fundamental step in wellness.

Anthony holds a B.S.Ed from the University of Georgia and an Associates degree in Health Sciences from the Swedish Institute. He was in private practice in New York City before moving south to teach Anatomy, Physiology and Swedish Massage at Guilford Technical Community College in North Carolina. He is thrilled to be back in Athens.
